In 2010, my husband showed his Vanderbilt classmate, Rebekah, my blog and she declared that when she got married, I would photograph her wedding. Five years later, she made good on that promise and Brad and I flew to Nashville. Buddy and Rebekah repeatedly said those words that every photographer loves to hear- “We trust you.” Because of that trust, I had the chance to play and experiment all day, including driving with them up to the top of Love Hill (an appropriate name for wedding day photos). In fact, their wedding was so fun to photograph that by the end of the long day shooting, I was still bouncing up and down with adrenaline. Their trust in me and very apparent love for each other made my goal of narrowing down photos for my blog post very difficult.
P.S. For a little treat, the last photo demonstrates what happens when your engineering husband takes the request to “toss the veil and then jump out of the photo” a little too literally.
