Adventure // Costa Rica

Exploring the World

In a whirlwind of planes and long hours on the road, the summer of 2012 was the summer of travel.  In three months I visited Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, California, and Costa Rica.  At the time, a certain handsome young man was nearing the end of a six month internship with an engineering ministry in Atenas, Costa Rica.  I casually mentioned to my mom that visiting Brad sounded like fun, and two hours later, she called me with plane flights and some potential hotels.  I’ve never seen such a lush country, made possible by the 200% humidity.  We sweated our way through hikes to waterfalls, up volcanoes, surfing expeditions, and getting lost on top of a mountain.  While the scenery was beautiful, seeing the work that Brad and the other interns had done with eMI definitely topped any pretty views.

p.s. It is a little humbling to be showing photos from 2 years ago.  But hey, it’s fun to see my progress!
