In these sweltering months of summer, I have a bit of a break before the back to back to back to back to back wedding weekends start again and I’m taking the opportunity to post some of the adventures I’ve had over the past couple of years. There are also a few fun business things going on behind the scenes 🙂 I frequently thank my parents for the love of traveling they instilled in me, and I never get tired of hopping in the car with the promise of miles and miles of new places to see. In the summer of 2012, two dear friends and I packed up our car to spend two weeks camping our way across Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, & California. America is a beautiful place, y’all.
Watch for falling cows!
Earthships! So interesting. And so 70’s.
We drove into the Grand Canyon just in time for sunset, and got up just in time for sunrise! Definitely worth it, though the looks on our faces in the photo don’t reflect that. It’s hard to smile when it’s that cold and that early.
The Sequoias took my breath away. Both literally and figuratively! Yay for rapid elevation change!
We camped on the beach at Bodega Bay (where Alfred Hitchcock’s The Birds was filmed). We managed to avoid crazed hordes of murderous birds, but I never knew the beach could be so cold and gloomy!
