The first time I met with Catherine and her mom, we ended up talking for almost two hours, which might be a record. We had so much fun talking about weddings and music and old oak trees that I’ve been dying to photograph this wedding for ages. Shooting Catherine & Christopher’s wedding shortly after my own was a dream, because many of the things that I held dear about my wedding were present in theirs, as well. The most obvious thing is that we both had our weddings at family property that has priceless years of memory attached to it. The family land that hosted the reception has been in the Catherines family since the 1800s and has the most beautiful old oak trees. I loved seeing Catherine and Chris’s personality shine at different moments through the day. And I can’t forget to mentioned that I just about died of happiness when I saw Catherine’s phenomenal BHLDN dress!
The ceremony was held at a lovely old church in downtown Bastrop that pretty much felt like we stepped back in time.
The girls had my favorite bridesmaids dresses EVER. Straight out of Downton Abbey.
Isn’t Catherine just beautiful!?
